Before searching for Elru
Treat the task as a three-location Hide-and-Seek or Ask Around route. Nearby NPC dialogue can narrow the area, but the collected guide states that talking around town does not replace finding Elru. Walk into each hiding space and interact directly when the character becomes visible.
Camera angle and collision can make a correct location look empty from the main path. Approach the reported tree gaps and pillar from more than one side before leaving. If the quest does not advance, confirm the active quest step rather than repeating a location from an earlier stage.
Location one: southwest of the Carrot Farm
Start at the Carrot Farm and move toward its southwest side. Look for a narrow path or opening between the trees instead of following the broad road. The hiding place is reported inside that tree-lined space, where the character can be obscured from the normal travel angle.
Sweep the edge slowly and change the camera position. Community directions describe an area, not an exact coordinate, and later scene changes can shift collision or visibility. Interact with Elru if found, then check whether the quest text points to another search.
Location two: above the Clothing Shop
Move to the Clothing Shop, then travel upward toward the pond in the upper-right part of the nearby area. Inspect the spaces between trees around the pond rather than searching only the shoreline. The recorded hiding point is above the shop and close to that upper-right water landmark.
Use the shop and pond as fixed anchors. If the search drifts into the center of Bunnyville, reset at the Clothing Shop and repeat the upward route. Dialogue hints can confirm the general direction, but direct contact with Elru is what the guide reports as progress.
Location three: the Ark puzzle room
Enter the Ark puzzle room and orient from its lower-right side. Count the pillars beginning from that corner and inspect behind the first pillar. Move around the pillar instead of checking only its front edge because the character is reported on the hidden side.
This is the most precise of the three community directions, but the current room remains the final reference. If no interaction appears, confirm that the quest has reached the Ark step and that an earlier location was completed. Do not assume a permanent bug until the active stage and room instance have been checked.
| Step | Landmark | Search action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Carrot Farm | Move southwest and inspect the narrow route between trees |
| 2 | Clothing Shop | Go upward toward the upper-right pond and check tree gaps |
| 3 | Ark puzzle room | From the lower right, inspect behind the first pillar |
Connection to Destiny Inscription
Japanese community material associates the Hide-and-Seek event with an Ingenuity entry in Destiny Inscription. That relationship is useful for understanding why the quest matters beyond dialogue. The exact Ingenuity value and node effect in the saved source are version-sensitive and are not reproduced as a current official statistic.
After finishing the route, inspect the live Destiny Inscription interface for any new or changed node. If the expected progress is absent, verify the quest log and current version before spending Sapphires elsewhere. The live node text is more reliable than an older screenshot.
Troubleshooting the search
If Elru is not visible, re-enter the area, inspect the active quest step, and approach the landmark from another direction. For the first two locations, search within the tree gaps rather than only along established paths. For the Ark room, make sure the pillar count begins at the lower-right side specified by the source.
The collected material does not prove a fixed spawn order for every patch, a timer, or a guaranteed reset method. This page therefore provides the three reported positions without inventing additional conditions. If the current quest wording contradicts the route, follow the current wording and treat the archive as a historical orientation aid.
