What Destiny Inscription does
Destiny Inscription is the between-run progression layer. Sapphires earned during dungeon attempts are spent on nodes that can unlock weapons, Artifacts, Talent Points, inventory improvements, and other opportunities. A purchase can therefore change what future runs are allowed to find rather than simply adding damage to the current character.
Read the live node before spending. The collected sources span different versions, and node cost, location, prerequisite, and effect can move after an update. This guide explains how to evaluate a node without copying older Sapphire numbers as if they were current.
Expansion versus reliability
Some unlocks expand the reward pool by adding another weapon, Artifact, or event. Expansion creates variety, but it also changes what can appear and may make a narrow route less predictable. Other unlocks improve access to tools or inventory behavior the player already understands.
Choose which problem you want to solve. If a player is still learning one weapon, reliability or inventory support may contribute more than opening another unfamiliar family. If the existing routes feel solved, a new weapon or Artifact can create the next meaningful set of decisions.

Weapon training records
The captured Staff-unlock transcript describes a progression state in which completing the fourth chapter reveals a Graceful Weapon Training node in Destiny Inscription. The player then talks to a training NPC, enters the Staff training ground, completes a short exercise, and finds Staff available with the other weapons. That is useful route evidence, but the video’s exact Sapphire cost and inconsistent automatic transcription of the NPC name are not reliable enough to publish as current facts.
Use the same method for any weapon unlock: inspect the current node, read its prerequisite, complete the training or event it specifies, then verify the weapon in the selection area. Do not assume that an older chapter requirement or tree position still applies after a patch.
Elru and Ingenuity
Japanese community notes connect Elru’s Hide-and-Seek event to an Ingenuity entry in Destiny Inscription. The Elru route itself reports three hiding areas around the Carrot Farm, Clothing Shop pond, and Ark puzzle room. Completing the interaction can therefore matter to progression beyond the immediate quest.
The archived Ingenuity value is version-sensitive and is not presented as a current official number. After the quest, inspect the live tree for a changed node or newly available path. That observation is stronger evidence than assuming an old screenshot still describes the current release.
A practical spending order
First decide what repeatedly stops the run: unfamiliar combat, poor inventory flexibility, lack of a desired weapon, or a narrow reward pool. Then compare only the nodes that address that issue. Buying the cheapest visible node without understanding what it opens can make future reward decisions more complex without improving the player’s current route.
Reassess after each meaningful unlock. A new weapon requires practice before it becomes useful, and a new Artifact needs a trigger and inventory position. Permanent progression is most effective when the player understands how the unlocked option changes the next run.
Documenting nodes safely
A reliable node record needs the game version, current English name, prerequisite, cost, effect, tree position, and a screenshot of the live tooltip. If one of those fields is missing, label the entry as incomplete rather than filling it from memory. Machine-translated pages can help locate a branch but should not define the final English wording.
Do not mix Destiny Inscription with temporary Anvil upgrades. Destiny nodes persist between runs, while weapon upgrades are selected during an attempt and shape that run’s branch. Keeping those systems separate prevents a temporary build route from being described as permanent progression.
Version limits
This archive confirms the role of Sapphires and the kinds of options Destiny Inscription can open. It does not provide a complete verified current tree with every cost and effect. Exact numbers from earlier community databases remain historical until the live 1.0 client confirms them.
